Dr. Samintharaj Kumar is a distinguished Specialist Implantologist and General Dental Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in Singapore and the United Kingdom. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and his medical degree (MBBS) from University College London, UK, in 2006.

In 2009, Dr. Kumar trained under Dr. Paulo Malo in Lisbon, specializing in All-on-4® / Teeth-in-a-Day implant surgeries and bridge restorations. As a former MALO Dental Director and the current ZAGA Centre Director for Singapore, he has built an exceptional reputation in complex dental implant reconstructions, particularly zygomatic implants for full-mouth rehabilitation. He has done the largest case series of zygomatic implants and the highest number of Nobel Biocare All-on-4® procedures in Singapore.

Dr. Kumar adopts a holistic approach as a biological dentist, emphasizing patient-centered care that prioritizes overall health and wellness. His medical background equips him to address complex medical issues relevant to dental treatments, especially those requiring special surgical attention.

He is skilled in ceramic implants, using biocompatible materials to offer durable, metal-free options for patients seeking a holistic implant solution. His clinical interests also include the CHAO Pinhole Surgical Technique™ for gum recession, surgical wisdom tooth extractions, cavitation surgery (NICO removal), and aesthetic-focused full mouth reconstructions employing the latest Digital Smile Design principles and CAD/CAM Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Kumar has lectured on the International Qualifying Examination Course at the Eastman and taught the Dentist on the Ward courses in Lincoln and Birmingham. He has published in internationally peer-reviewed journals and served as an internal examiner for the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE). His postgraduate qualifications include MFDS RCS (Royal College of Surgeons of England), MFD RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland), MRCS (Royal College of Surgeons of England), and an MBA from Bayes Business School, London. In 2019, he became a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD), and in 2020, he was elected as a Council Member of the Singapore Dental Association. He holds both Certificate and Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, along with relevant Certificates in Competency (Singapore). In 2023, he was appointed Diplomate and joined the Ambassador Circle of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and achieved Board Certification in Aesthetic Medicine with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). In 2024, he was approved by the Singapore Dental Council as a Course Instructor for Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers (Nuffield Academy). He is also a member of The International Academy of Biological Dentistry and The International Academy for Oral Medicine & Toxicology.

Dr. Kumar is known for his ability to ease nervous patients and restore their confidence. While he is a general dental practitioner, his surgical training enables him to handle complex cases with significant surgical and aesthetic demands. His leadership roles as a former MALO Dental Director and current ZAGA Centre Director in Singapore enhance his credibility in complex dental implant reconstruction, particularly with Zygomatic, Trans-Nasal/Nasal, and Trans-Sinus Dental Implants for full mouth reconstruction. He has performed the largest series of Zygomatic Implants in Singapore and currently leads in Nobel Biocare/Noris Medical All-on-4 Full Mouth Rehabilitation cases. Additionally, he has placed the highest number of Zeramex Ceramic Implant cases in Asia and is a member of the ZygoPro Global community (Noris Medical), with expertise in various dental implant systems, including BioHorizons, Nobel Biocare, Noris Medical, Straumann, and more.

As a sought-after speaker, Dr. Kumar shares his insights on implant dentistry both locally and internationally, further establishing his role as a leader in advanced dental care and education.

In addition to his practice in Dubai, UAE, Dr. Kumar serves as a dental surgeon (SDC D21533C) in Orchard Road and Raffles Place, Singapore, mainly consulting at Nuffield Dental Jewel, Wheelock Place, and The Dental Implant Centre, One Raffles Place. He is also registered as a medical doctor (GMC: 6149219) and dentist (GDC 83037) in London, UK.
